A new clinical study confirms the exceptional bioavailability of MAGSHAPE™ magnesium microcapsules, a micronized, highly bioavailable form of the mineral produced by Lubrizol Nutraceuticals, SL.
The results of the study—conducted by researchers at Bionos Biotech, SL—showed that MAGSHAPE significantly outperformed other commonly used forms of magnesium in enhancing magnesium absorption, and did so without the adverse side effects commonly associated with magnesium supplementation.

In the double-blind, randomized, crossover clinical study published in Nutrients, 40 healthy men and women were given different magnesium supplements.
The study evaluated blood levels of magnesium in volunteers after oral intake of MAGSHAPE™ microcapsules compared to other sources of magnesium, including magnesium oxide, magnesium citrate, and magnesium bisglycinate.
The Science Behind the Most Effective Magnesium: MAGSHAPE™
Each sample was supplied in an opaque glass vial with individual doses containing 375 mg of elemental Mg supplied as an orosoluble powder. Blood samples were taken at 0, 1, 4, and 6 hours after ingestion of each magnesium product.
The study found that MAGSHAPE microcapsules significantly increased blood Mg levels at all time points tested (1, 4, and 6 hours). In addition, MAGSHAPE microencapsulation technology allowed for a sustained increase in blood plasma Mg levels, maintaining higher levels up to 6 hours after ingestion.
Participants also reported fewer adverse effects, such as reduced bowel activity and gastric “heaviness” with MAGSHAPE™ microcapsules compared to other Mg sources evaluated in the clinical study.
In addition, almost 70% of MAGSHAPE users reported being satisfied with their overall health compared to those taking other magnesium formats.
